Flights Coach Travel E777 VDA at Heathrow Airport – 13 June 1989 (89-19)
Tuesday 13 June 1989 (0740) – The business of Flights Coach Travel based in Birmingham was founded by Frank Flight in 1913. If ever there was a family name that was so well suited to running services to major airports this was it. The company coined the name Flightlink for these services.

Flights E777 VDA, a Plaxton Paramount 4000 bodied Volvo B10MT new in June 1988, was seen at Heathrow Airport working the 0400 service from Wolverhampton to Gatwick Airport. Each departure showed a different route number (or perhaps a ‘Flight’ number?). This one was 103.

The coach is heading towards Terminal 4 via the Southern Cargo Tunnel which at this time bus and coach services were allowed to use.
