M35 KAX parked in Icklingham - 14 Apr 2022 (P1110329)

Maundy Thursday 14 April 2022 (1140) – Looking somewhat dilapidated, for some months M35 KAX had been parked on the car park of the now closed Plough Inn at Icklingham. (P.S. When I drove by 12 days later the vehicle had gone!)

It is a Plaxton Premiére 350/Expressliner II bodied Volvo B10M that was once a frontline coach working on National Express services. New in March 1995 to Bebb Travel, Llantwit Fadre it later passed to Ambassador Travel and later still to Semmence Coaches of Wymondham, a subsidiary of Ambassador. It still carried the legal name and address of Semmence when seen here although I have seen reference to it now being owned by Suffolk Fire & Rescue.

The passenger doors where secured with padlocks and in the front windscreen was a sign proclaiming the coach was off the road and not to be used!
