Mil-Ken Travel JAZ 4960 at the Mildenhall Hub/MCA - 1 Nov 2021 (P1090808)

Monday 1 November 2021 (0853) – Mil-Ken Travel JAZ 4960, a Van Hool Astromega TD927, seen arriving at the Mildenhall Hub/Mildenhall College Academy (MCA) when working Suffolk County Council school contract ML411 from Sedge Fen, Burnt Fen, Kenny Hill and Beck Row.

The coach was new in July 2009 as Stagecoach owned Thames Transit 50203 (T50 UBE) to operate ‘Oxford Tube’ services between Oxford and London. Re-registered GX09 OYF when sold.

The Mildenhall Hub, opened in the late summer of 2021, is located on the western edge of the town centre and houses a number of different community facilities including the Council Offices, Clinic, Library, Leisure Centre, Swimming Pool, Police Offices, etc all of which were previously located in different parts of the town. MCA, expanded with the merging of the Mildenhall Upper and Riverside Middle Schools, serves students from a wide catchment area brought in by various contract vehicles and normal passenger services.
