Sunday 26 September 1999 – Four preserved Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol coaches on display at Showbus, Duxford. Left to right:
RDV 419H, a Bristol RELL6G new to Royal Blue (Western National) as fleet number 1468 in March 1970. It is preserved in the green and white local coach livery of Southern National. Southern National and Western National were joint owners of Royal Blue.
766 MDV, a Bristol MW5G new to Royal Blue (Southern National) as fleet number 2278 in March March 1963.
HDV 641E, a Bristol MW5G new to Royal Blue (Western National) as fleet number 1436 in February 1967.
7017 HK, a Bristol MW5G new to Eastern National as fleet number 458 in July 1958.
Originally owned by the Tilling Group, Eastern National, Southern National and Western National all became subsidiaries of the nationalised British Transport Commission on 1 January 1948 later passing to the Transport Holding Company on 1 January 1963 and later still the National Bus Company on 1 January 1969.
