Abbeyways vehicles in Crossfield Bus Station, Halifax – 11 Sep 1988 (74-26)
Sunday 11 September 1988 – Two Abbeyways vehicles parked in Crossfield Bus Station, Halifax. The double decker is PHG 776P, an East Lancs bodied Leyland Atlantean AN68/1R which had been new to Hyndburn Transport (Accrington) in February 1976. Behind it is JND 997N, Duple Dominant bodied Leyland Leopard which had been new to Greater Manchester PTE as their 97 in June 1975.

The bus on the left a former Darlington Transport Marshall bodied Daimler Fleetline one of three new July/August 1970 numbered 37-39 (CHN 737-739H). I think this was former 37 although cannot say if it was nor if it was operated by Abbeyways.

Crossfield Bus Station was set for redevelopment and had already been vacated by the West Yorkshire PTE.
