Eastern Counties 659 (NIL 3959) on the A11 near Barton Mills – 13 Feb 1999 (410-13A)
Saturday 13 February 1999 – Eastern Counties Omnibus Company 659 (NIL 3959), a Leyland National Greenway rebuilt by East Lancs in November 1993. The original Leyland National was new in November 1977 as LN593 registered WAH 593S.

It carried a special livery for the Norwich Park and Ride service but was seen here a good way from home as it headed westbound on the A11 between Barton Mills and Red Lodge when operating service 356 (and not 355 as displayed) bound for Bury St. Edmunds.

At the time there were two circular services operated on the Bury St. Edmunds to Mildenhall route. A clockwise service 355 operating from Bury St. Edmunds via Fornham St. Martin, Flempton, Lackford, Icklingham, Mildenhall, Barton Mills, Red Lodge, Herringswell, Tuddenham St. Mary, Cavenham and Risby returning to Bury St. Edmunds. Service 356 operated clockwise serving the same places.
