It is an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro400D MMC new in December 2016 which prior to reaching Cambridge had been temporarily assigned to Stagecoach Merseyside (Glenvale) to provide increased capacity during railway engineering works on the Merseyrail Wirral line.
