Stagecoach East 21228 (AE09 GYY) on the Busway near Addenbrooke’s, Cambridge - 6 Nov 2019 (P1050069)

Wednesday 6 November 2019 (1143) – Stagecoach East 21228 (AE09 GYY) seen on the spur from the southern section of the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway which serves Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The Busway itself runs across the photograph just behind the bus as is the junction with the spur.

21228 is a Wright Eclipse bodied Volvo B7RLE new in April 2009 which was operating the 1036 service A from St. Ives (Marley Road) to Royston (due 1246). It will run into and around the hospital site before returning back to the main Busway. When reaching the end of the Busway at the Trumpington Park and Ride site the service continues on normal roads to the Hertfordshire town.
