Stagecoach in Cambridge (Cambus) 27845 (AE13 DZR) and 44006 (BV66 GRZ) in Cambridge - 5 Jul 2019 (P1030057)

Friday 5 July 2019 (1120) – During the period of closure of Mill Road Bridge for railway maintenance service 2, which links Cambridge North railway station to the City Centre and Addenbrookes Hospital or Sainsbury’s, would normally travel via Mill Road and the Mill Road bridge. In order to serve the Mill Road communities either side of the closed bridge shuttle services were provided. Service 2A ran from the City Centre to Mill Road on the west side of the bridge and service 2B ran from Sainsbury’s into Mill Road on the east side of the bridge.

Seen in Emmanuel Street are Stagecoach in Cambridge (Cambus) 27845 (AE13 DZR), an Alexander Dennis Enviro300D new in May 2013, working the diverted service 2 to Addenbrookes. Standing behind is 44006 (BV66 GRZ) working the shuttle service 2A to Mill Road. 44006 initially ran on services in Ashford, Kent before moving to South Wales.
