Thursday 2 May 2019 (1439) – East Yorkshire and Stagecoach in Hull are the dominant bus operators in the city of Hull. This photograph, taken on the corner of Spencer Street and Prospect Street in Hull, shows a bus from each company with similar bodywork built by Plaxton/Transbus International.

East Yorkshire 587 (YX51 AYC) was new in December 2001 and is a Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL.

Stagecoach in Hull 18031 (MX53 FLL) was new in September 2003. By the time this bus was built both the chassis builder and body builder had been combined under the Transbus International name. Otherwise it would have been a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident.
