Storey's Coaches A10 AAS (C315 UFP) in Barton Mills - 27 May 1994

Storey's Coaches A10 AAS (C315 UFP) in Barton Mills - 27 May 1994
Friday 27 May 1994 - Storey’s Coaches was based in Littleport, Cambridgeshire and the business was acquired by Mil-Ken Travel in late 1995. A10 AAS was seen at the junction of Bell Lane and Newmarket Road, Barton Mills having called to pick up children for the schools located on the nearby United States Air Force bases. The Fullers Garden Centre site is now occupied by residential housing.

The coach is a Plaxton Paramount 3500 bodied DAF SB300, a chassis with a low driving position resulting in a deeper windscreen than on the likes of the Volvo B10M. It was new to Lewis’s Coaches of Pailton, Sussex in April 1986 registered C315 UFP. The number plate A10 AAS represents the initials of one of the business partners (A. A. Storey) preceded by the number of the trunk road through Littleport (the A10) on which the company garage was located.
