London to Budapest.. That is quite a journey by coach. Just how long does it take? No doubt a lot cheaper than train or plane, but not something I would fancy doing... Once endured a 7 or 8 hour trip on a coach in Thailand and vowed never again!

In the timetable current from 1 April 1995 to 31 March 1996 the journey departed London at 1000 on day 1 and arrived Budapest at 1230 on day 2 - 25 hours 30 minutes allowing for the time difference. On a Flixbus service in 2019 the journey time is shown as about 27 hours.

The full price adult fares in 1995/1996 were £79 one way and £119 return. I don't know how they compared with the train or plane. What with the cheap air fares available in 2019 it may possibly be cheaper to fly than pay the coach fare of about 80 Euros.
