(De Lijn contractor) Jos de Reys 153111 (878 P9) in Heist op-den-Berg - 1 Feb 1993

Monday 1 February 1993 (approx. 1250) – In addition to operating its own vehicles De Lijn, the national bus and tramway company of northern Belgium, employs numerous contractors whose vehicles carry six digit fleet numbers – the first four are the De Lijn contract number and the remaining two are the operators own fleet number.

Jos de Reys and Zonen 153111 (878 P 9) was seen near the railway station in Heist-op-den-Berg when working De Lijn service 16A. It is a Mercedes-Benz O 305 which had been acquired from an unknown operator in Germany in 1990, new circa 1982.

De Lijn (Vlaamse Vervoersmaatschappij De Lijn) was created in 1991 from the northern part of NMVB (Nationale Maatschappij van Buurtspoorwegen).
