Saturday 27 May 1995 - Following the acquisition of Ellen Smith (Tours) Limited by Rossendale Transport in 1991, Rossendale used the Ellen Smith name for its coaching activities. 317 (NIW 6517) was seen at RAF Mildenhall on a day excursion to the famous Mildenhall Air Show. It was a Van Hool Alizee bodied Volvo B10M-61 new to Smiths-Shearings Holidays in February 1987 as their 537 registered D537 MVR.
