Tuesday 2 April 2013 (1752) – Two buses working London Buses contracted services pausing at the bus stop beneath the window of our room in the Travelodge, City Road, London. Metroline DLD706 (LK55 KME), an Alexander Dennis Dart with Plaxton Pointer style bodywork new in January 2006, was working service 214. The large characters on the roof showing the fleet number and MTG, a code for Metroline Travel Group. Coming in behind is Go-Ahead London WVL293 (KX59 CZL), a Wright bodied Volvo B9TL, working service 21. The building in the background is part of Armoury House the home of the Honourable Artillery Company since the central block was completed in 1735 on land the Company acquired in 1641. The HAC was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1537 by King Henry VIII.
