Tantivy Blue 48 (J 64338) and 65 (J 62568) coaches in St. Helier - 4 Sep 1999

Saturday 4 September 1999 - JMT (1987) Limited, which ran the ‘Jersey bus’ bus service network on the Channel Island of Jersey, also owned the Tantivy Motors business. Two Duple Dominant bodied Bedford SB3s are seen here in St. Helier. 48 (J 64338) was new in 1981 and 65 (J 62568) was new in August 1979. In November 1996 the business of Blue Coach Tours was acquired by JMT and merged with Tantivy to form Tantivy Blue Coach Tours Limited.

A 2019 update to this photograph. This parking area has now been redeveloped and is home to a number of low rise office buildings occupied by different financial companies. In the background is the reclaimed land on which there is now a cinema/leisure complex, numerous apartment blocks and a marina.
