Express Travel L712 PHE at Whittlesford - 4 Oct 2000

Wednesday 4 October 2000 (approx. 0730) – Express Travel Services L712 PHE, a Van Hool Alizeé bodied Volvo B10M lettered for the National Express Liverpool-Manchester-Leeds ‘Express Shuttle’ was seen here in an unlikely location, the Red Lion in Whittlesford, south of Cambridge. It had worked the National Express service 314 from Southport to Cambridge the previous day and would return later today. The Red Lion was used by the Arriva Northumbria drivers working the Newcastle to Cambridge service 326 for quite some time and perhaps when ETS began working the 314 the hostelry was given a recommendation.
