Birmingham Coach Co X422 WVO passing Watton-at-Stone - 23 Apr 2002

Birmingham Coach Co X422 WVO passing Watton-at-Stone - 23 Apr 2002
Tuesday 23 April 2002 (approx. 0812) – Birmingham Coach Company X422 WVO was seen on the Watton-at-Stone by-pass in Hertfordshire as it worked the 0500 National Express service 777 from Birmingham to Stansted Airport. It was a Van Hool Alizeé bodied Scania K124 new in January 2001 which carried lettering and livery for the London-Birmingham ‘Express Shuttle’ service which had nothing to do with service 777. BCC took over the working of service 777 from Stort Valley Coaches commencing 25 March 2002 which was also re-routed between Luton Airport and Stansted Airport with coaches serving Hitchin, Stevenage and Standon (close to the A10 road) rather than via London Colney (near St. Albans) and Hatfield.
