Shearings Holidays 483 (K483 VVR) in Mildenhall - 24 Jun 1995 (274-03)

Saturday 24 June 1995 – Shearings Holidays 483 (K483 KVR), a Van Hool Alizeé bodied Volvo B10M new in February 1993, is seen picking up tour passengers at King Street, Mildenhall. The window label shows ‘Strathpeffer’ although the coach would be collecting passengers for a number of tours which would then be taken to the interchange point at Scratchwood Service Area.

I actually got a ride on this coach in helping the driver get to the King Street pick-up. As I was walking by the War Memorial I saw the coach miss the turn for King Street. The easiest way to help was to get on board and guide him. We had to go down the High Street and Mill Street where the driver turned the coach round at Ship Gardens and then return to King Street.
