DSCF4844 H C Chambers (Go Ahead) W956 WGH

Friday 25 April 2014 (1050) - Following the acquisition of H C Chambers and Son Limited by the Go-Ahead Group, Chambers was put under the management control of Hedingham Omnibuses and a new fleet numbering system was introduced for the combined fleets. A number of Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TL double deckers were cascaded from the Go-Ahead fleets in London which introduced a new livery style. Bus 581 (W956 WGH) is seen here and the new style fleet number characters are visible over the entrance door. Note also the new company address in Stanway, Colchester. W956 WGH was new in May 2000 as London General PVL56.
