O Heimat!
Mit Sehnsucht schau ich nach Westen gewandt,
es stirbt mein Seufzen im fremden Land,
wie eine Welle verläuft im Sand.
Kein Weg, o Heimat, führt zu dir!

P.S.: In Würzburg ist eine Grundschule und eine Straße nach dem aus Würzburg stammenden Dichter und Maler benannt!!
