Ancien et (presque) nouveau

A gauche (voir 1er PiP) le clocher de l’église primitive dont seule cette tour subsiste. Erigée en 1083, elle s’élevait dans l’enceinte d'une forteresse construite par Guillaume le Conquérant. Eglise et forteresse n'existent plus, à leur place fut construite au XIXe siècle la nouvelle église paroissiale Saint Hilaire de style néogothique (2ème PiP).

OLD AND (ALMOST) NEW. On the left (see 1st PiP) is the bell tower of the original church, of which only this tower remains. Erected in 1083, it stood within the walls of a fortress built by William the Conqueror. Church and fortress no longer exist, and the new neo-Gothic parish church of Saint Hilaire was built in their place in the 19th century (2nd PiP).

ALT UND (FAST) NEU. Links der Glockenturm (siehe 1. PiP) der ursprünglichen Kirche, von der nur noch dieser Turm übrig ist. 1083 errichtet, befand sie sich innerhalb einer von Wilhelm dem Eroberer erbauten Festung. Kirche und Festung gibt es nicht mehr, an ihrer Stelle wurde im 19. Jh. die neue Pfarrkirche Saint Hilaire im neogotischen Stil errichtet (2. PiP).
