I have never been to France but when I imagine what it is like it would be much like this attractive corner with the wonderful old church and the delightful cafe setting. I love the magnolia tree. Sadly I cannot eat cheese but I wonder if it would be possible to make these delights using plant based cheese? I may give it a try!

Thanks Carol, indeed, in France you often see cafes with chairs and tables outside, and people sitting there watching the other people passing by (except when it's really cold outside!). I must say I've never heard about plant based cheese, I wonder how it tastes...

Thank you Christa. Some are quite tasty, although many are really bad!! I think it must be difficult to get the texture right. The biggest problem for me is they mostly don't melt - the cheese just sits there!! The best ones are an acceptable alternative - nowhere near perfect but better than not having cheese at all!!

Der grüne Magnolienbaum ist eine richtige Augenweide.
Einen Croque-monsieurs würde ich dort gerne einmal probieren - am liebsten draussen bei milden Temperaturen.
