L'oratoire dans la mer
Dédié à St. Guirec, cet oratoire se compose d'une petite construction en forme de niche abritant une statue du saint en habits d'évêque. Il est juché sur l'un des nombreux rochers de ce secteur de la côte de granit rose qui, s'il est facilement accessible à marée basse, est entouré par l'eau lors des marées hautes (voir carte postale en PiP). La légende veut que les jeunes filles célibataires piquent des aiguilles de pin sur le nez du saint. Si, une fois la marée haute passée, l'aiguille reste plantée, cela veut dire que le vœu de mariage sera exaucé avant la fin de l'année...
THE ORATORY IN THE SEA. It is dedicated to St Guirec and consists of a small niche that houses a statue of the saint in bishop's robes. It stands on one of the many rocks of this stretch of pink granite coast, easily accessible at low tide but surrounded by water at high tide (see postcard in PiP). Legend has it that unmarried girls stick pine needles on the saint's nose. If the needle gets stuck after the end of the tide, it means that the marriage wish will be granted before the end of the year...
DAS ORATORIUM IM MEER. Es ist dem Hl. Guirec gewidmet und besteht aus einer kleinen Nische, das eine Statue des Heiligen in Bischofsgewändern zeigt. Es steht auf einem der zahlreichen Felsen dieses Abschnitts der rosa Granitküste, der bei Ebbe leicht zugänglich ist, bei Flut jedoch vom Wasser umschlossen wird (siehe Ansichtskarte im PiP). Die Legende besagt, dass unverheiratete Mädchen Kiefernnadeln auf die Nase des Heiligen stechen. Wenn die Nadel nach dem Ende der Flut stecken bleibt, bedeutet dies, dass der Heiratswunsch noch vor Jahresende erfüllt wird...

Der Ort ist leider sehr touristisch, die Bucht aber fantastisch.
Schade, dass die "Grotte" sichtbar auffällig renoviert wurde, wird hoffentlich bald etwas verwittern.
Christa1004 club has replied to Ur@nos clubAnsonsten ist diese Landschaft so touristisch, gerade weil sie so fantastisch ist , alle wollen sie eben mal geniessen...
Die Renovierung der Grotte wurde erst dieses Jahr gemacht, ist also ganz "frisch" und so sieht's auch aus. In einem Zeitungsartikel stand, dass sie jetzt für das nächste Jahrhundert gewappnet sei ! Aber du wirst sehen : schon im nächsten Jahr sieht sie besser aus, halt etwas älter durch Wind-, Wetter- und Salzeinfluss auf die Steine.
