THE CARPENTER'S ARTWORK. The market hall was built in 1509 and is perfectly preserved. Royal letters announced under Louis XII the organization of a weekly market and two annual markets; the first, on October 9th, marked the start of the grape harvest and the second took place on April 30th. Hemp and linen cloths, cattle and above all, the local wine were sold there. A room under the hall served as a storage room before it was converted into a prison after the revolution.

My first thought was "We' been to the same place!", but when I looked at my pictures, the place I visited was Les Halles de Moutiers les Mauxfaits. Very similar though!!
Best Wishes, and stay safe!!
