Neon Skyline

Neon Skyline
I took this picture from a hill called Ben Buck. It's about a 680m climb and 4.5 km walk from the valley below. This picture looks south and beyond the top of Ben Cleuch (721m) in front, you can see the light pollution from the Forth Valley of Scotland which has many hundreds of thousands of people living there.

You are better off at the lower time when you up the f stop, I think 14mm 15 sec F3.2 will serve you better. VERY fine balance that you will have to come to terms with when you change f stops. Turn on long noise reduction you shot will look better even more.

Been a very long time since I have seen Orion as a belt and sword we see as a cooking pot as its reversed in the south. Remember the two shot and why they work and why they are different. The night sky is now your oyster you just have to learn to take a Vertical panorama 14mm to get

Esperance Bow.

Then any thing is possible only your imagination is the limiting Factor.

Thank you Steve for your wonderful advice. I like your Esperence bow picture very much. I have done quite a lot of panoramic pictures in the past and I even managed to stitch 60 shots together of an old ruin in Hugins Panorama creator. I'll post that sometime. You have got my creative juices flowing now and a night time panorama is a great idea. Thanks again.

Really wonderful. I even love the glow of city lighting. Have you visited Perth to see the 'Knife Angel'? It was made here in Shropshire at the British Ironworks, and will be in the fair city during December. Photographers are invited to enter their photos in a small competition.
