Stuck

Stuck
Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset and there is snow on the hills in the distance. This is the point where the River Brue meets the River Parrett, forming part of Bridgwater Bay. There was no water by the jetty and this lone boat was left high and dry and seemed to me to be stuck in the mud.

I have therefore added 'Stuck on You' by Lionel Richie as my link

Thank you very much Val. Really appreciated. Probably would be better with water than mud but I liked the lines and patterns anyway so not a complete loss I guess. Someone could get rich making mud packs for facials from this lot! HFF and have a good weekend

Terrific capture of a unique part of our coastline, sailing in and out of this river must require a good local knowledge.
Like the sunlight and textures it gives to the silt ,
HFF and fantastic weekend.

Thank you very much Herb. Really appreciated. Yes there is a fence, albeit a small one. It is beside the post and tucked in behind the boat. You can see it better if you vie the image large. A belated HFF and have a good week ahead

Hi Carol,

A nice picture, with a lot of different textures and elements. I am not sure of the reason for the existence of that big black column thrusting up into the sky, but it certainly makes the picture special.

Best Wishes, and a Good Weekend,
Peter

Ecobird club has replied to Peter_Private_Box club
Thank you very much Peter. Really appreciated. It is for stability. As the water rises the pontoon rises up along the pole with it. This is why the boat is tied to the pontoon. The blocks under the pontoon are flotation boxes. My husband had to explain this to me too! HFF and have a great weekend. Incidentally the Bristol Channel has the second highest tidal range in the world, which can be as much as 5 metres.

A bit of a stick in the mud you could say. Noticeably absent are other moored boats, any clues ?

Ha-ha! Thank you Maurice. There were quite a few other boats there but they were all stick in the muds together really but I quite liked Billy No Mates here!
