Hab' keine Angst im Nebelwald - Don't be afraid in the misty forest

Bei einer Wanderung im Spessart zur Sohlhöhe bei Lohr am Main entstand in einer Nadelwaldparzelle dieses Foto. Am Anfang war es im Wald noch total neblig und nur zögernd kam die Sonne durch die Nebelschleier. Es herrschte eine gespenstige Stimmung.
Nur nebenbei: Der Blick in diesen Wald zeigt einen Fichten-Hochwald, also eine dieser Waldformen, die durch den Klimawandel besonders betroffen sind. Windbruch, Trockenheit, Hitze und Schadinsekten setzen den meisten Nadelholzarten enorm zu, so dass diese im Laufe der nächsten Jahre verschwinden und klimafestere Laubholzbäume wie die Eiche an ihre Stelle treten werden.

During a hike in the Spessart to the Sohlhöhe near Lohr am Main this photo was taken in a coniferous forest plot. At the beginning the forest was still totally foggy and only hesitantly the sun came through the veils of mist. There was a ghostly atmosphere.
Just by the way: the view into this forest shows a spruce high forest, one of those forest forms that are particularly affected by climate change. Wind breakage, drought, heat and insect pests are putting an enormous strain on most coniferous species, so that they will disappear in the course of the next few years and be replaced by more climate-resistant hardwood trees such as the oak.
