Villa „Schloss Weinberg“ - HFF

Schloss Weinberg in Waren an der Mürnitz ist eine Sehenswürdigkeit und bedeutende Erinnerung an den berühmten Volkskundler Richard Wossidlo, der diese Villa viele Jahre bewohnte. Interessant ist, dass sich Wossidlo mir seinen Forschungen den Nationalsozialisten versagte und sich nicht vor deren ideologischen Karren spannen ließ. Nach ihm ist das Gymnasium in Waren (und mehrere in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) benannt.

Schloss Weinberg in Waren/Mürnitz is a tourist attraction and an important reminder of the famous ethnologist Richard Wossidlo, who lived in this villa for many years. It is interesting to note that Wossidlo refused to allow himself to be drawn in front of the National Socialists and their ideological carts. The grammar school in Waren (and several other schools in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) is named after him.
