Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann ... Tomorrow Santa’s coming ...

In meinem Heimatort fand ich gestern Abend dieses Weihnachtsschaufenster, in dem eine Familie jedes Jahr eine unglaublich aufwendige Weihnachtsdekoration präsentiert. Das Bild zegt nur einen Ausschnitt! Nicht mein Geschmack, aber fotografisch interessant. Das Gedicht "Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann" von Hoffmann von Fallersleben ist historisch von Interesse, da es sehr stark von preußischem Militarismus des 19. Jahrhunderts geprägt ist. Last night I found in my home town this Christmas window where a family presents an incredibly elaborate Christmas decoration every year. The image shows only a part of the decoration! Not my taste, but photographically interesting. The poem "Morgen kommt der Weihnachtsmann" by Hoffmann von Fallersleben is historically interesting because it is very much influenced by Prussian militarism of the 19th century.
