Blühender Taschentuchbaum - Blooming handkerchief tree - Davidia involucrata
Der deutsche Trivialname der aus China stammenden Laubbaumart nimmt Bezug auf die großen weißen Hochblätter (bis 16 cm groß), die wie Taschentücher bzw. von weitem gesehen auch wie ein Schwarm weißer Tauben in den Ästen hängen. Dieser eigenartige Baum blüht zur Zeit im historischen Park des Juliusspitals Würzburg.

cammino club has replied to ©UdoSm clubmir ging es bis vor wenigen Tagen auch so. Wenn man den Baum aus einiger Entfernung sieht, denkt man wirklich, es wären viele weiße Tauben, die im Geäst sitzen würden. Was die Natur an Überraschungen so alles bereit hält.
