Blick in den Arkadengang des Juliuspitals Würzburg.
Das Juliusspital geht auf eine private Stiftung des damaligen Fürstbischofs Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn zurück. Die Uranlage wurde 1585 fertiggestellt und nach einem Großbrand im 18. Jh. durch einen barocken Neubau ersetzt. Das Spital wurde 1945 fast völlig zerstört und bis 1955 wieder aufgebaut. Kriegsschäden sind noch heute an einigen Arkadensäulen zu sehen.

The Juliusspital goes back to a private foundation of the then Prince Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn. The first building was finalized in 1585 and replaced by a Baroque construction after a major fire in the 18th century. . The hospital was heavily destroyed in 1945 and rebuilt again until 1955. War damage can still be seen today on some arcades columns.

cammino club has replied to uwschu clubvielen Dank für deinen Hinweis. Ich habe den Arkadengang mehrere Male im Hoch- und im Querformat fotografiert und mich dann für das Querformat entschieden. Im Hochformat fällt der dunkle Vordergrund weg und dann ist, wie du gesagt hast, die Perspektive zwar mathematisch genauer, das Bild aber eher für ein Architekturlehrbuch geeignet. Im Querformat kommt der dunkle Vordergrund ins Spiel, der den hellen Gang schön kontrastiert. Das Bild wirkt so stimmungsvoller.

uwschu club has replied to cammino clubDu wirst es am besten beurteilen können, ich muss mir die zweite Aufnahme im Hochformat vorstellen und versuche dann zu vergleichen. Passiert selten, das ich ein Foto so lange anschaue, es ist eben klasse!
