Die Uranlage wurde 1585 fertiggestellt und nach einem Großbrand im 18. Jh. durch einen barocken Neubau ersetzt. Das Spital wurde 1945 fast völlig zerstört und bis 1955 wieder aufgebaut. Kriegsschäden sind noch heute an einigen Arkadensäulen zu sehen.
