Perched nicely

I Just can't decide if this is a nomad type wasp or a sawfly, any help appreciated. Thanks Rockwolf for getting me to the sawfly ID.

Loads of these flying about right now, everyone always thinks they are butterflies :)

More of a record shot, one of the adults, we could hear the young ones screeching away a few metres up the cliff face in the Gorse. I was well pleased to see this bird, I knew we had a nesting pair every year but had never gotten more than a glimpse in the sky!

Let the moth season begin :) This is the Oak-tree pug which is very similar to the Brindled Pug but has heavier discal spot, and so I thought I'd post one up :)

Small white with pupa from under our eve, while only a few feet away from the previous photo, they had been predated by some wasp this one emerged this year fine. I still have two that have not done anything that I know of.

Not a great photo per se, but the subject I found interesting. This was one of my Small White Butterfly larva, it had completed making a pupa but a small wasp (likely Cotesia glomerata wasp [thanks to Rockwolf for the likely ID]) kept hanging around the larva and pupa. This is the restult, obviously hatched out. The next photo shows that at the same sorta date a Small White has emerged fine. Photos from under our eve of roof. What I found interesting was that the wasp sat up on the eve for days waiting I suppose, but did wait until the larva was in full pupation to go away (finish predating it).

Got a pot of this 2 years ago, never bloomed on our balcony, but this year I have loads :D One of my fav flowers, organized chaos!

We did finally get rained on, but I had to run (quick walk in my world) UP the hill to get this. With the rapeseed and sun I was just hoping to get that lightning, it wasn't as impressive as I'd hoped (..haha), but I caught it in one and stitched the rest for the pano. Still worth a brisk maneuver up the hill :)
