The view from where the Wall Butterflies hang out from last August with our Ipernity friends, they took us on a fantastic tour and showed us four new butterflies for us, Adonis, Silver-spotted Skipper, Grayling, and Wall.

From the downs near Lewes last August. Of course the first few fresh Common Blues I ever saw here in the UK were Adonis too, so bright they must be right?, but man oh man these guys are super bright blue, lovely creatures.

We had thought about going to Rye Harbour NR today but by the time we got up and around it was a bit late, so headed down to Combe Haven Countryside park, which floods in the winter usually, let alone now that we've had so much rain.
We saw loads of lovely birds but this was by far the star of the show for me. Black Swan in the wild!
