Hier führt der Colorado River ja noch ziemlich Wasser. Aber an der Mündung im Golf von Kalifornien kommt zeitweise gar nichts mehr an, weil sie vorher alles für die Bewässerung von Donalds Golfplätzen verwenden! ;-)

Der Lake Mead wird ja nie mehr voll. Was man da auf den Bildern sieht (es kommen dann noch einige von flussauf), ist ja rekordverdächtig. Solch hohe Wasserstände schaffen sie nicht mehr. Seit 2000 ist der Wasserspiegel um 30 m (!) gesunken. Der größte Teil des Stroms geht an die Küste, vor allem Los Angeles. Die Natives in der Wüste dort betreiben ihre eigenen Kohlekraftwerke.
