Standing on the concrete banking, not far from the Member's Bridge, the steepness of the 30 degree banking is not so clear from the angle of this image.
Although the poor state of the older concrete sections, and the patched joints, are very obvious.

You might wonder why I have an interest in this photo. My Great Aunt Marjory was a bit of a petrol-head, who owned both Douglas and Harley Davidson motorcycles, as well as several cars at different times. There is a photo of her at Brooklands, in the pits with racing aces in about 1925. Those were the days when Brooklands was probably at its most exciting.
