Tregua autunnale

Dear Eric,
I've just returned here, on this rainy Sunday morning, after the beautiful sunny days of autumn that I've could enjoy in my 'peregrinations' in Italy this past month, also meeting again my dearest loved ones.
And I read with great pleasure this beautiful empathic comment of yours. I am so touched by it.
It's true, before I left I wanted to share this smiling moment of peace and serenity in a period that wasn't so serene at the time. :-)
Exactly: a ' tregua' ... a kind of mental life-jacket with which to continue to face events, both close and those that seem so far away, but are not! Participating in them but maintaining the so-called 'right distance' that allows me not to be overwhelmed, while being fully aware of them.

Not so easy, I mean:-)

But at least an attempt.

Yes I had a wonderful time with my granddaughters , suddenly and suprisingly being turned into two little teen-agers of 9 and 7 , but, fortunately, at the moment still preserving the loveliest aspects of their actual age. :-) xoxoxo
