In 1577 a citadel was built in the centre of Splitska. This castle became the first true landmark of the town.

In the streets of Postira Postira is a municipality on the island of Brač in the province of Split-Dalmatia, Croatia. The port is located on the north coast of the island and has 1,559 inhabitants. The place is surrounded by picturesque bays. Parking and bathing are chargeable. Through the fishing industry (sardines), cultivation of olives and mandarins, production of olive oil and through tourism there is also a lot of work here.
