I know someone who tried to cross here with a little rubber canoe. The stream catched him offshore. He was rescue by an helicopter of the civil security.
The day after, this story was in the frontpage of local newspaper with this tittle : "the unconscious are back"
The stream can reach 2 m/s in the passes
