DAWN DISCIPLES
Let the shadow go down and take us
in its mystery, in which everything
is passage and threshold, stealthy
and incandescent presence.
The river flows and your face
is submerged, your voice,
maybe the memory of other faces
and other voices
crossing in the fold of time
twinning in the dark,
maybe they're nothing but debris
of an old dream
or a fright vision
of the eternal.
///
DISCÍPULOS DA MADRUGADA
Que a sombra desça e nos tome
no seu mistérioi, em que tudo
é passagem e limiar, presença
furtiva e incandescente.
O rio flui e nele se submerge
o teu rosto, a tua voz,
talvez a memória de outros rostos
e de outras vozes
cruzando-se na dobra do tempo
aparentando-se na escuridão,
talvez não sejam senão destroços
de um antigo sonho
ou de uma visão em sobressalto
do eterno.
