Madagascar, Tanandava Baobabs Forest

Madagascar, Tanandava Baobabs Forest
Baobabs of Adansonia grandidieri is the largest and most widespread species of the genus Adansonia, native to Madagascar. The species was named by the French physician and botanist Henri-Ernest Bayon in honor of another French botanist, the explorer and traveler of Madagascar, Alfred Grandidier.
Adansonia grandidieri has a massive trunk 20–25 m tall, with branches at the very top bearing 5–7-palmated leaves, approximately 10 cm long.
The species grows in western Madagascar, primarily around the town of Morondava, Lake Morombe and Lake Béreboka, and along intermittent riverbeds and reservoirs.

Interesting, bust "Madagascar, Alley of Baobabs on the Road Number Eight " is much more catchy.
