77 Euphorbiae at the Roadside

77 Euphorbiae at the Roadside
Near the Eastern end, there is an off-road rest area where people can view the scenery. At the narrow end of this, we noticed many Euphorbia plants along the road-side, so whilst most people were looking at the Reservoir, I walked over to look at the clumps of plants. Amazingly there were quite a number of Hawkmoth larvae, mostly fully grown, along this patch, the brightness of the patterning suggesting (incorrectly at the time) Hyles euphorbiae, one of the species I would be looking for.
