Austrian soprano

Her patron Count Nicholas Esterházy de Galántha, sent her for lessons with , Johannes Ress.Once her career was established, Kurz consulted such world-renowned voice teachers as Jean de Reszke in Nice and Mathilde Marchesi in Paris, as well as the soprano Felicie Kaschowska .She was first heard in Vienna at a student concert of Ress pupils in 1895.Début in the title role of Ambroise Thomas's opera Mignon at the Hamburg Stadttheater, on May 12, 1895.She appeared all over Europe at the Grand Opéra in Paris, the Princely Opéra in Monte Carlo, Rome, Salzburg, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Amsterdam, Ostend, Bucharest ,Cairo , London and New York. Roles included Urbain in Les Huguenots,Elisabeth in Tannhäuser,Oscar, in Un ballo in maschera, Gilda in Rigoletto , Marguerite in Faust , Mimi in La Boheme , Juliette in Romeo & Juliette
