Obrigada, isabel! Spring tide/ storm surge- it happens regularly in Hamburg and this place is one of the first to be flooded. It was a harmless Sturmflut though, not like the one in 1962 with over 300 dead.

Muchas gracias, José! It was a very high spring tide that floods very low lying areas but Hamburg has seen much worse. Indeed, for the fish you have to be there very early:-)
