I have no idea who or what Sleng Tang Gang is? I like the latin motto "through hardships to the stars" but have no idea how it relates to the photo.

The motto is similar to our Royal Air Force one, which is "Per Ardua Ad Astra," a Latin phrase that translates to "Through Adversity to the Stars".

Thank you so much, Keith! I have no idea what the Sleg Tang Gang means;-) Astra (apart from being a car model as Herb has pointed out) is an iconic Hamburg brewery. The beer is drunk straight from the bottle.
