Two super shots of this amazing looking cruise ship. I especially like the image in the PiP, which is especially creative and very effective.

Not meaning to detract from your photos, but I have mixed feelings about these huge cruise ships.........I know they give people great pleasure, but I also think that they're not particularly good for the environment.

Thanks very much, Keith! I first had the PiP as the main photo, but a bit of the bow is cut off and that bothered me.

As to cruiseships I'm with you! This one is an old one and "small" with over 1200 Pax and over 500 crew...The new ones are monsters! I'll never forget what a former captain of a cruiseship once said: you cannot evacuate a ship with more than a few hundred passengers.

As to environment: this new cruise center is going to have shore power and I hope it will be mandatory for all ships there.

I especially like the PiP, very impressive reflections.

I too dislike cruise ships both on environmental issues and also, believe it or not, I would be claustrophobic once at sea.

I enjoy being on ships if they are not so big and sail close to land so you can see something. I even manage an inside cabin as I use it only to sleep in, during the day I'm outside on deck most of the time. The coastal ferries in Norway run hybrid ships (LNG and electric) and they use shore power where available.
But big polluting cruise ships with entertainment and thousands of people are a big no no:-)
