Though being there twice , both in summer, I was not that lucky with the weather, but that's normal in Iceland. Geyser is one of the most interesting and fascinating place I have seen and your beautiful pictures can easily tel why, Gudrun!

I love the earthy colours in your main image Gudrun.............and if I didn't know differently if would be easy to assume there is nothing special about the beautiful pool of mud..!! The detail you've captured is excellent.

The PiP is superb and leaves no doubt about how hot that water is!

Thanks a lot, Keith! The area is fun to visit though the visitor pressure is so high now that they built new walkways and roped/ fenced everything off. Before there only used to be signs with Attention, boiling mud/ water 100°C;-)

Vor Ort sind die Geysire unglaublich beeindruckend.

Leider ist der Strokkur inzwischen derart umlagert, dass ich ihn vermieden habe;-) Dafür gibt es neue Bohlenwege durch bisher unerschlossene Gebiete. Herzlichen Dank!
