Thanks a ot, Gillian! I was on the beach:-) The bergs come from a glacier which calves into a lagoon and this is connected to the sea via a short stream. The bergs drift out with the tides and melt in the sea.

Thank you so much, Roger! The black beach is dotted with small icebergs and the larger ones are in the sea. It' s fascinating to watch and the various shapes get the imagination going:-)

Herzlichen Dank für all die Sternderl, Alex! Wir waren auf der anderen Seite, da ging's! Sind dann auch unter der Brücke durchgelaufen und am südwestlichen Ufer die Moräne lang, da waren kaum Touristen, aber viele Robben;-)
