"S21. The Monument- Chronicles of a grotesque derailment" by German sculptor Peter Lenk is a satirical take on the bitterly disputed new underground railway station (S21) in Stuttgart. "Laokoon" is the Baden-Württemberg minister president wrangling with a train "snake".

Thank you so much, Keith! Yes, that's Angela M. The sculptur always portrays politicians and other punlic figures in quite a satirical way. This usually first leads to protests until after a while everybody seems to be proud of having a statue in their town;-)

Danke vielmals, Falk! Ja, da kann man lange davorstehen und das von allen Seiten bewundern! Leider stand das Licht falsch, um Frau Merkel von vorne zu fotografieren, unter ihr ist eine Spaßbadelandschaft- abgesoffene Bahnhofsbaustelle, weil das Minaralwasser angebohrt wurde. Sowas zirkulierte übrigens als Karikatur schon ganz früh in Bahnkreisen;-)

Danke vielmals, Frank! Nee, das war ein echter Stuttgarter Schwabenstreich- es ist abgebaut und wieder bei Lenk.... Vielleicht findet es doch noch irgendwann einen angemessenen Platz in Stuttgart, momentan sieht's aber nicht danach aus.
